Clear Terms. Serious Work. No Hidden Confusion.

These terms explain how Safety & Security handles service work, payments, warranties, compliance, site access, fault finding and liability. The goal is simple: clear rules before work starts.

Safety and Security technical service and perimeter protection
PaymentEquipment remains ours until paid in full.
SafetyUnsafe sites may stop the job.
ComplianceCOC work must be quoted and handled properly.
Important: Security systems reduce risk, but no system can guarantee that crime, theft or damage will never happen.

These Legal Notice, Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Safety & Security, including quotations, installations, repairs, call-outs, maintenance plans, inspections, equipment supply, solar panel cleaning, automation and security services. By accepting a quotation, making payment, booking a service, allowing work to commence, or signing any maintenance agreement, the client confirms that these terms have been read, understood and accepted.

Services are limited to the scope described in the accepted quotation, invoice, order or maintenance plan. Any additional work, upgrade, variation, modification, extra material, unexpected repair or unforeseen requirement may be quoted and charged separately.

The client must provide safe and unrestricted access to the site, make sure technicians can work without obstruction, disclose hazards, and secure aggressive animals before our arrival. If the site is unsafe, blocked or not ready, work may be suspended and additional call-out, return-visit or rescheduling charges may apply.

Where work is performed at heights, including roofs, ladders, elevated structures or platforms, Safety & Security will assess the risk and follow reasonable safety measures. The client must disclose fragile roof surfaces, unstable structures, skylights, asbestos sheets or any unsafe access conditions. We may stop work immediately if weather, roof condition, wind, rain, storm risk or structural instability makes the work unsafe.

The client is responsible for stable electrical power on site. If power is unavailable, Safety & Security must be informed in advance. Delays, generator hire, fuel, transport, setup or return visits caused by no power may be for the client’s account.

Electric fencing installations are completed according to applicable regulations where required. Electric Fence System Certificates may be issued by properly registered personnel where legally required and where included in the scope. Ordinary electrical Certificates of Compliance are not included unless specifically quoted.

Equipment is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. Safety & Security does not provide product warranties beyond the applicable manufacturer terms and our workmanship where relevant. Labour for fault finding, removal, reinstallation, transport, warranty handling or warranty processing may be chargeable, even if a manufacturer later accepts or rejects a claim.

Fault finding, testing, diagnostics and technical assessments are chargeable unless specifically included in a maintenance plan or written agreement. We are not responsible for manufacturer delays, discontinued products, supplier decisions or third-party warranty outcomes.

Technical installation work may cause minor cosmetic effects to walls, paint, plaster, ceilings, tiles, paving, conduit or mounting surfaces. Safety & Security is not liable for pre-existing defects, hidden services, brittle materials, aged structures, weak plaster, structural weaknesses or concealed damage unless gross negligence is proven.

All equipment supplied remains the property of Safety & Security until paid in full. Failure to pay may result in suspension of service, support and warranty assistance. Where legally allowed, unpaid equipment may be recovered or access to support may be withheld until outstanding amounts are settled.

If payment is overdue, maintenance services, call-out privileges, material inclusions, warranty assistance and support may be suspended until full payment is received.

Security systems reduce risk but do not guarantee the prevention of crime, loss, theft, damage or intrusion. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safety & Security is not liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, loss of profits, criminal acts, theft, break-ins or losses caused by third parties. Any claim is limited to the fees paid for the relevant job or the preceding three months of service fees, whichever is lower.

The client indemnifies Safety & Security against claims arising from unsafe site conditions, animal-related incidents, undisclosed hazards, client tampering, electrical hazards beyond our control, structural failure not caused by us, or interference by other contractors or third parties.

Personal information is processed only for service delivery, billing, communication and technical support. Information is handled according to applicable South African data protection principles. Safety & Security does not access or store CCTV footage unless required for diagnostic purposes and authorised by the client.

Safety & Security is not liable for delays or failure caused by load shedding, power outages, extreme weather, civil unrest, supplier delays, government restrictions, access problems, strikes, natural disasters or events beyond reasonable control.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

If any clause is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses remain in force as far as legally possible.
